Nicole Wells Stallworth

Executive Director, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan Nicole Wells Stallworth is the Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan and the Vice President of Advocacy for the same. She took on this role in the autumn of 2021. Previously, Nicole was the Assistant Vice President for Government & Community Relations at Oakland University where she headed the University’s community relations presence, advocacy related initiatives, and direct engagement of local elected officials in the townships & municipalities of Wayne, Oakland & Macomb Counties. A seasoned government relations and public affairs executive, Stallworth has more than 20 years of experience in government relations and public affairs. Specializing in issue advocacy, Nicole has worked to facilitate access to an equitable quality of life for the underrepresented and underserved, for the better part of her career. She has served as advisor to the Farmington Hills Public Schools board of education on Anti-Racism, and to the Chair of the Wayne County Commission in the formation of the Wayne County Women’s Commission. Stallworth serves as an equity advocate with The Education Trust- Midwest, Chairs the board of directors for MacDowell Preparatory Academy, a k-8 charter school in Northwest Detroit, is a member of the Foundation Board of the Women Officials Network, and is a member of the board of directors for Franklin Wright Settlements, Inc. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, and a Master of Arts in Communications from Wayne State University. Nicole is a Michigan Political Leadership Program Alumni Fellow and a member of Leadership Detroit class XXXVII. |
