Jennifer Callaghan

Oak County Probate Court Judge Judge Callaghan serves as a judge of the Oakland County Probate Court, having been elected in 2016. She is a graduate of Wayne State Law School and Michigan State University (James Madison College). During law school, she worked at, and served on the board of, the Wayne State University Free Legal Aid Clinic. Judge Callaghan also interned for a Michigan Supreme Court Justice and the Civil Rights Division of the Michigan Attorney General’s Office. Upon graduation, she served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Child and Youth Services and Driver License Restoration Divisions. Before being elected to the bench, Judge Callaghan focused on general and probate law in private practice. Judge Callaghan is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Oakland County Bar Association, Michigan Probate Judges Association, Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, Incorporated Society of Irish Lawyers, and Michigan Intra-Professional Association and is a Fellow of the Michigan State Bar and Oakland County Bar Foundations. She is honored to currently serve as a Director on the boards of the Michigan Court Reporting and Recording Board of Review in addition to the Women Officials Network Foundation. |
