MAJOR GERVÉ TILLMANMajor Gervé Tillman is the Commander for Air Force Materiel Command's newly developed Acquisition Instructor Course (AQIC), Detachment 2. She is responsible for the execution of the detachment's $3.3M annual budget and standardization of a 23-week advanced acquisition training program. She also assists the AQIC Commandant in developing skilled acquisition instructors and leaders in best practices and emerging techniques to solve the Department of the Air Force's toughest acquisition issues. Prior to her current assignment, Maj Tillman served as the Deputy Branch Chief for Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Programs in the Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) and Special Operations Forces Directorate at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB), OH. She was responsible for managing a 52-member team in the developing, production and integration of four GEOINT programs valued at $1.04B. Major Tillman received her commission in 2010 through Officer Training School following her graduation from Kettering University in Flint, Michigan. She began her acquisition career at AFLCMC, Intelligence and Special Programs Division, Hanscom AFB, MA, as the Deputy Enterprise Engineer for the AF Distributed Common Ground System. She later served as the Product Manager Team Lead for Space Domain Awareness in the USSF's first software factory, Kobayashi Maru, at the Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB. In 2018, Maj Tillman was deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan in support of OPERATION FREEDOM'S SENTINEL. She was the Staff Officer-in-Charge for a multi-national operations team (NATO), responsible for the planning, managing and execution of organizational priorities for the Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan (CSTC-A).
