Carol Weaver

Ed.S, Ph.D has worked for Detroit Public Schools for over a decade in the capacity as Director of the Bond Program, Executive Director of Community Schools and Government Affairs, Chief of Staff to Transitional Manager Judge S. Rhodes, and currently Senior Director of Government and Community Affairs. A community and educational advocate, Carol has worked on many projects with various entities to ensure that the voiceless have a voice within the City of Detroit. Carol holds a Doctorate in Management, Specialist degree in Educational Leadership, Certificate in Community College Leadership, master’s degree in management and a Bachelor degree in Marketing Management. She also completed overseas studies in Business  Management. Prior to Carol working at DPSCD she worked at SEIU Local 79 as an Organizing Director and at Taurus Production as a
Marketing Consultant. Carol is the Vice Chair of the 13th Congressional District and the former Membership and Fundraising Chair of the 14th Congressional District. Carol has one daughter, Jaime who just graduated from Michigan State University.
